Description
Bandology is a free 5 week course taking place in early 2026 to deliver 5 x evening sessions that offer tools and skills required to be in a thriving band. The course is designed to help with goal setting, forming an action plan, seeking opportunities, maintaining wellbeing and organising finances. Bandology will be interactive, held online and feature insights from trailblazing bands across Wales.
Anthem’s Bandology course will…
- Help to organise band related goals, plans and tasks
- Offer tips for effective communication and fairness as well as budgeting and fundraising support
- Provide access to helpful resources, signpost to relevant organisations and give you the tools needed to maintain the health of your band

Session 1: Goals – Getting aligned with your bandmates and setting goals

Session 2: The Band Plan – Finding the right tools to make your band’s action plan
Monday 9th Feb 2026 @ 6:00PM – 7:30PM
Session 3: Opportunities – Seeking opportunities and being professionally prepared
Monday 16th Feb 2026 @ 6:00PM – 7:30PM
Session 4: Is Everything Sound? – Communicating effectively and maintaining band health
Monday 23rd Feb 2026 @ 6:00PM – 7:30PM
Session 5: Money – Making a band budget and fundraising effectively
Payment
Participants will receive a £50 voucher for attending all sessions. Payments will be made after 23 February 2026.
*There are limited voucher-paid positions available so vouchers will be given on a first come first served basis.
Participants must be
- Based in Wales
- Aged 18-25 years old
- In a band or planning to be in a band
- Have access to the internet and Zoom Planning to attend all 5 sessions
- Willing to give feedback for Anthem’s evaluation process
Q: Do the whole band need to be there?
It would be helpful if as many members as possible are present, although it is also an option for representatives to attend and relay information, share resources and complete any exercises with their band between sessions.

Signups are open for 3 weeks, opening on 27th November 2025 and closing on 12th January 2026.
